Demand and Supply Planner APAC

Christian Bassett is recruiting a Demand and Supply Planner APAC in a renowned premium European confectionary company.

 

• The Demand and Supply Planner APAC, located in Singapore office, is responsible for the integrated and aligned volume planning for the Asia Pacific markets (part of the International Distributors division) as well as the product availability of the products supplied from the regional co-packing center and warehouse.

• The holder of the position acts as one of the central links in the S&OP process and develops an integrated demand plan in collaboration with the Sales team. This step is followed by a fine-tuning session with Finance and the central planning team in which an aligned rolling forecast is set. 

• To ensure high quality in the planning process and results, the role is also required to collaborate closely with other stakeholders, e.g. Export & Logistics or Marketing.

 

Operational tasks

• Support of Asia Pacific with regards to demand planning in the monthly S&OP process

• Manage inventory and replenishment of required packaging material, semi-finished goods as well as finished goods for the regional hub

• Place co-packing orders and align closely with Production Planning in the regional hub

• Manage and moderate planning meetings (internal/external) as well as analysis and preparations for planning bases

• Plan and execute process optimizations for Demand Planning

• Identify root causes for inaccurate forecasts

• Support product lifecycle management – new developments, exclusive products, phase in/phase-out

• Support ad-hoc sales activities

• Collaborate with customers with regards to downstream visibility

 

Projects

• Execute small projects and initiatives for enhancing the performance of the department

• Participate in cross-functional projects if necessary

 

Requirements:

• FMCG experience is a must 

• Commercial background with professional-/further education

• Well-founded experience in the methodology and principles of Demand and Supply Planning

• Distinctive knowledge in reporting, including advanced Excel skills

• Fluency in English, very good knowledge of Mandarin

• Good knowledge in MS-Office & SAP-ERP systems and planning systems

• Strong communication and team-player skills

• Strong analytical and cross-linked thinking

• Solution-orientated, responsible and exact way of working

• Open-minded, flexible, and resilient personality
