Christian Bassett is recruiting a High Jewellery Manager, Hong Kong for a European luxury watch & jewellery company.
 
Reporting to: Retail Manager
 
MISSION
• To be the brand Ambassador and to lead a team to great performances in the short and long term (turnover, profitability, development of client database, image.
 
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
 
SERVICE
• The manager is ultimately responsible for a perfect up keeping of the boutique at all times.
• He/she must make sure that any visitor to the boutique is treated with the utmost respect and professionalism according to the brand’s boutique charter
• A clean boutique in every corner is a must
• Decoration must be at its best and following Guidelines
• All current marketing materials (catalogues, books, leaflets, instruction manuals...) must be stocked and properly used by the whole team
• Staff attires must impeccable at all times
• Showcases and serving tray must be in mint condition at all times
• The company’s recommended music and videos must be played at all times
• Stock must be impeccable at all times (no fingerprints)
• Any renovation/touch up need must be reported to the local office immediately. If no attention is given, please report to the boutique COO
 
CLIENTS – BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
• The manager is a key person for client acquisition. He/she should lead the efforts of the team to acquire new clients, not only by converting the walk-in clients, but also by following a tactic of client acquisition outside the boutique
• He/she has to ensure that the database of the boutique is used by all team members and that it is maintained and enriched in views of future CRM activities (invitation to events, direct mailing, e-mailers, celebration of birthdays, etc...)
• Animation of the boutique: The manager shall propose to its local team and management ideas to create marketing actions that could help achieving its sales objectives. (Mailing, cocktail, collaboration with clubs, etc...)
• He/she has to ensure that the boutique is well connected with the network of key hotel and clubs, and that catalogues are distributed to key nearby hotels and clubs
• He/she should propose to the management relevant deals with tour guides, tour operators and translator to build further high quality traffic to the boutique
• The manager is in charge of the enforcement of the discount policy. He/she also needs to try to minimize the average discount given by helping its team members to do so
 
STOCK / SECURITY
• The manager is ultimately the person in charge of the stock
• He/she has to ensure that the security procedures of the Group are strictly followed. In particular, he/she must make sure that the stock value is below the maximum coverage
• He/she has to ensure that a proper and at least bi-weekly replenishment is made
• He/she has to place a yearly order of novelties in line with the brand’s core range policies and with the budget given by the local subsidiary
 
MANAGEMENT
• It is a must that the manager organizes a formal weekly meeting (for instance on Monday morning) for the following purpose:
• Comments on the business. Give weekly objectives to the teams.
• Sharing information with the team on products, the life of the brand, after sales service cases, future activities, etc...
• Share feedback of the team
• Foster team spirit
• The manager is a coach for all its team and needs to take care of the following areas:
• Recruitment of new staff
• Bi-yearly evaluation of the team members
• Assessment of the training development of the team
• The manager ensures that the boutique software and other tools are mastered and used extensively by all team members
• He/she will organize the team monthly roster and make sure the boutique is up-to-date for all administrative duties
 
SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES
• The manager might be requested to travel for seminars or to visit clients
• He/she might have to attend functions to entertain its clients
• He/she must ensure report on market intelligence on other boutiques and boutiques staff
