Christian Bassett is recruiting a Retail Trainer for a European luxury fashion company.
ROLE
• With a minimum time of 80% in store and 20% at the office, the Trainer/Field Trainer supports the performance of the stores, developing the Sales Associates’ selling skills through a tailored training program aligned with the brand vision and local needs.
• They oversee the roll out and execution of the brand’s experience, the deployment of product training initiatives, and support the digital and omnichannel transformation of the business.
MISSION
IN-STORE COACHING
• Identify and prioritize needs with direct report
• Prepare and conduct recurring one-to-one coaching sessions with Sales Associates
• Support the leadership team in their efforts to set up a culture of feedback within their team
• Collaborate with the Regional Training Manager to ensure training priorities are consistent within the business
• context and provide effective recommendations
IN-STORE FACILITATION
• Adapt and deliver retail and product training programs (Brand, Products, Selling, Customer Service & CRM topics)
• in collaboration with Store Directors and Training Ambassadors, with the support of their regional head office partners
• Identify, with their Retail Directors, local needs, build a customized training strategy and an action plan for their perimeter
• Support the delivery of the training activities in store during the morning briefs
• Ensure induction sessions for all new retail hires are planned and completed
• Improve the retail teams clienteling skills in line with the Clienteling team strategy
FOLLOW-UP
• Coach retail teams by delivering constructive training feedback and suggestions of implementations
• Conduct regular store visit and attachment for preparing quick-fix workshop
• Develop and implement follow-up tools for the participants (especially work with Retail Manager, Store Director and Department Manager)
• Monitor and encourage the usage of training and information material
• Consolidate and update training databases (attendance, participant name, training dates, programs, records, evaluations etc.)
• Monitor and share the performances of the training program roll out with their Retail Directors weekly and touch base with the Regional Training Manager monthly
• Follow up on the Client Experience Evaluation and Voices results and suggest improvements
• Feed the regional training manager on their feedback from their store visits
TRAINING PLANNING
• Articulate the global training programs with the local needs in order to plan the training events on an annual basis,
• in collaboration with their regional head office partners (Retail Operations, Buyers, HR, CRM, regional training manager etc.)
• Collaborate with Regional Training Manager to complete the annual training schedule on a monthly basis according to field visits and permanent observation and discussions with the teams
PROFILE
• Trainer experience with content development/local adaptation, preferably on retail population
• Full understanding of blended learning
• Understanding of international and intercultural environment
• Experienced organizational dynamics
• Demonstrated time management & organizational skills
• Ability to embody and communicate to the brand's heritage, values and DNA
• Business oriented
• Inspiring, passionate and adaptable
• Fluent in both business level of Japanese and English, with additional language if applicable or needed in the region.
• Available for business trips, up to 80% of time depending on perimeter/location
