Christian Bassett is recruiting a Store Planning, Construction, Hong Kong for a European luxury jewellery company.
Mission:
• Be fully responsible for the zoning, layout & design of stores worldwide, from sketches to Concept drawings (CD set).
• Report to: Global Head of Visual Merchandising and Store Planning
Key Responsibility #1: Landlord documentation & Design Studies
• Review and analyse the landlord’s drawings and ensure to identify the technical constraints that may affect the design
• Read & digest the landlord’s retail guidelines to ensure the store design is in line with LL requirements
• Ensure lease-line location is clearly indicated
• Coordinate with the landlord any additional information that may be required for the design phase
• Convert landlord’s PDF documents into CAD files when required
• Attend calls with landlord or any other related parties during the design phase.
• Provide preliminary design studies according to the commercial flow the brand would like to achieve
• Clarify required egress path with the PM team
• Organize a preliminary site survey with the support of PM team
Key Responsibility #2: Concept Drawings (CD sets)
• Design on CAD at least two accomplished floorplan & facade options in line with the brand’s latest store concept and with the range of furniture/finishes available.
• Create a store experience from one room to another.
• Design interior elevations, and pay attention to proportions & rhythm.
• Ensure your design is refined, functional, operational & commercial
• Ensure your design always incorporate the latest corporate architectural details
• Provide coloured CD set when required
• Out-Source the 3Ds and be responsible for coordinating the renderings and achieving excellent quality images.
• Provide your design input to new architectural elements in development (façade design, furniture design).
• Follow-up the competitors on a regular basis and provide some inspirational feedbacks to the store planning team
• Follow-up new trends, artisans, galleries, fabric editors and artists on IG. Be aware of the trends.
Key Responsibility #3: Tender Drawings
• According to your CD set, launch the tender drawings (by 3rd party)
• Ensure the tender drawings are in line with the latest architectural details
• Check Tender drawings on a regular basis to ensure the design is well respected and that security/IT devices are properly located without affecting the interior atmosphere.
Requirements:
• Degree in architecture or interior architecture/interior design
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in draftsmanship and in luxury retail
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-up and photoshop is mandatory
• Proficient in English
• Interest in arts, architecture and design
• Be Aware of latest trends, and competitors
• Sense for perfection and detail orientated
• Able to work on multiple projects of different size, concept and complexity
• Able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Capable to work independently
• Proactive, Fast, Organised, Precise and Efficient
